Little Jaka arrives, crying
Birth. From an early age it was clear I had big plans for life on this planet.

Every recording has a timecode. This is mine — from the first cry to the 267th published video. Scrub through the whole story; it proves one thing: I stay on the scene.
Birth. From an early age it was clear I had big plans for life on this planet.

Celebrating my seventh birthday — still far from cameras, but already full of energy.

At nine I create my YouTube channel and upload a test video — shooting at goal. I call it "Jaka Messi".
At ten, my first big concert — Metallica in Vienna. In the summer I attend one of the world’s largest music festivals in Budapest, Sziget.

Back at Sziget, where I meet Diplo and the other members of Major Lazer.

Winter holidays with my classmate Anel produce the short film "Jaka and Anel on holiday". At school the first reactions are mocking — then the views grow beyond all expectations. That is when I decide to film and post regularly. Enter Jack on the Box.

The media house Večer picks me as the face of the TV commercial for its Bob leta awards; it airs in early 2017. At twelve, in the channel’s first year — my first experience with classic media and the first sign that the story works off-line too. I post new videos several times a month; in May I reach 1,000 subscribers after 30 videos.

In a poll I ask viewers where I should go — they pick London. So I go: Big Ben, Madame Tussauds and the first travel vlog, proof that the audience likes having a say in the content.

In November I open my Instagram profile and at the end of the month hit a new milestone: 10,000 YouTube subscribers — a little over a year after the first video.

The channel grows exponentially — 13,700 subscribers by mid-February. I organise my first Meet & Greet at the Maribox cinema. The response is incredible: two full cinema halls, a performance by rapper Trkaj and a surprise — footballer Marcos Tavares gives me his signed jersey.

At fourteen I travel on my own to a language camp in New York — the first big trip I document in full for the channel.

In October the Gaming.si portal names me YouTuber of the Year 2018 — I have 19,700 subscribers at the time.

I become one of the faces of the HPV vaccination awareness campaign run by the Gud Vajb movement. The campaign did not stay online — my image ended up on billboards all over Slovenia. Proof that my credibility carries demanding, socially sensitive topics and classic media too.

I end up on a poster in Cool magazine — at the time the leading teen magazine in Slovenia. My picture hangs in bedrooms all over the country.

During the Covid lockdown I create a TikTok profile, posting only occasionally at first — today it is one of my three key platforms.
This year Anja comes into my life — my partner, who has stayed by my side ever since, privately and increasingly in front of the camera.

Early in the year I take driving lessons at Avtošola Relax and in May I pass my driving test — with the YouTube camera along, of course.
At the invitation of the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) I attend a seminar in Alicante, Spain, where the office is based. Recognition of my influence at the European level.

Early in the year I start regular live streams — even closer to a real-time conversation with the audience.
At a boxing event organised by Pero Martić I convincingly beat my opponent TheBoyLuke. Proof that I can perform in front of a live audience and in formats outside my own channel.
Anja and I visit Barcelona, Valencia and Alicante — Anja’s present for my 20th birthday.

Anja and I watch Slovenia v Portugal at Euro 2024 in Frankfurt. I see Cristiano Ronaldo miss a penalty against Jan Oblak live.

I host Slovenia’s biggest YouTuber, Pero Martić, who visits Maribor together with Bosnia’s biggest streamer, Nuni.

In collaboration with the travel agency Sonček I visit New York — the second time in my life; the first was at 14.

In February 2026 I reach my tenth year — one of the most consistent Slovenian YouTubers. In that time more than 42,000 subscribers have joined me and I have published 267 videos with 15.9 million views in total. The total watch time has grown to 978,000 hours (40,750 days) — squeezed into one person, they would have to watch my videos non-stop for more than 112 years.

The European Commission picks me for its campaign — proof that institutions at the highest level trust me too, not only brands.
A few extra moments that are not tied to an exact date, but belong to the same story.

Ten years of consistent presence — and room for your brand in the story.
